Beauty ruined by low quality

In 2016, I had the opportunity to go to Nicaragua (Central America) with a small team of friends, where I went on day long hikes, and jumped from hostel to hostel for a whole month.

It was amazing! While Nicaragua is a Less-Economically-Developed-Area, that didn't mean there wasn't some astounding sites I got to see, some of which I'm going to share with you now!

I apologise in advance for the shocking quality of these pictures. I didn't take my Nikon as I was worried about getting it lost, damaged or stolen. The camera I bought specifically for the trip had minimal storage and was very low quality - so bad it looks like I took photos on a brick. However, the camera was about £20 so I expected to have bad quality images.

Photo Spotlight: This is my favourite photo from the whole trip so I decided to give it a spotlight!

Other Pics:

This photo was taken from the top of one of the churches in Managua. Managua has some beautifully coloured buildings, as well as being hot. This was the first place we stayed for about two days before we later travelled to León

I took this photo on one of our treks. I believe we were walking through the "cloud forest" as we were on our way to see the summit of Mombacho Volcano. It was extremely hot, so It was nice to dunk our heads under the cool waterfall.

This has to be my favourite waterfall out of the many varieties we saw on our treks. It was massive, and there was a small little cave/walk way behind it, so we could walk through it.

This photo is of one of the volcanoes we actually camped on/nearby overnight. It was an active volcano, but hasn't erupted for years. This volcano was near by to another volcano that had actually erupted not too long ago, and as we travelled to this volcano, you could see some of the damages to a few abandoned buildings - there were holes in ceilings due to hot rock smashing through, and there was a few blackened areas from the extreme heat. That was enough to give me nightmares and at one point in the night I woke up because I thought the volcano was erupting.
