For one of my university projects, we were challenged with creating an app in which we could show a set of short documentaries we filmed and link it all together with a theme.

I have coded before - I'm not he best at it but I can safely say I have the basic skills which allow me to code and create small scale apps. So because of this I decided to stick to the creative stuff and design all the assets for the app.

First I started by drawing potential logos/app icons so it would show that our app is well designed.

In the end the team and I decided to make our official app icon the app icon on the top row in the middle. It was a little bit more exciting and the focus of our app was travelling around Bournemouth to explore important pieces of art within the area, and this app icon expressed that.

Our head coder kept adding new features to our app - the more features the more designs I would create. One interesting feature that was coded into the app was a log in screen - I loved drawing and designing this in Adobe Illustrator!

Since our app icon was also early our team logo, I decided to put it big and bold at the top of the screen so there's no mistake about the app.

We designed a small icon where we aimed to swap out for a personalised user photo, however the deadline was looming so we decided that we would keep the pre-made user icon that I had already drawn out.

Lastly, two little boxes in the middle of the screen are for the users personal log in. I didn't want to create anything overly fancy as it is just the area where you type your personal details to log into your account. This is what allows the user to save their progress and we used firebase to save account information.

There were more designs I created for the app home screens, loading screens and buttons ect. These were mainly for decorations to make the final app look pretty.
